1. Agreement
By using Free Convert WEBP ("the site"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. "We" and "us" refer to the operators of the site; "you" refers to anyone using it.
2. What the service is
The site is a free image converter that runs entirely inside your web browser. Your files are processed on your own device and are not transmitted to us or to any third party. We therefore do not receive, store, host or have access to the images you convert.
No account is required and no payment is taken. The service is offered without charge and without a paid tier.
3. Your files and your rights
You keep every right you already had in the images you convert. We claim no licence over them, because we never come into possession of them in the first place. The converted file is yours to use exactly as the original was.
You are responsible for having the right to convert the files you process here, and for complying with the law that applies to you when you do.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the site to process material that is unlawful where you are, or that you have no right to process;
- attempt to disrupt or interfere with the site, or with anyone else's use of it;
- misrepresent the site as your own service, or present it in a way that suggests an endorsement or affiliation that does not exist.
Because conversion happens on your device, we have no technical means of monitoring or moderating what you convert, and no way to intervene in it. Responsibility for what you process here rests with you.
5. No warranty
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. In particular, we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will work in every browser, or that every file will convert successfully or produce a particular result.
Image conversion is lossy in most configurations, and converting back from a lossy format cannot restore quality that was already discarded. Always keep your original files. Nothing you do here should be your only copy.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site — including lost, corrupted or incorrectly converted files, or any indirect or consequential loss. Because the site is free and processes nothing on our systems, this exclusion is a condition of it being offered at all.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case the narrowest permitted version applies.
7. Intellectual property
The site's design, text and branding belong to us. The conversion itself is performed by third-party open-source libraries — including libwebp, mozjpeg and libheif — which remain the property of their authors and are used under their respective licences. Format names such as WebP, JPEG, PNG and HEIC belong to their respective owners and are used here descriptively only.
8. Privacy

9. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the site at any time, and we may update these terms. Material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
